Liquor License Application
Liquor License Applications are reviewed by the Licensing & Permits Committee before being considered by the Full Board.
Please be accurate and complete with the information requested so the committee can properly address your application. The Committee may postpone or decline review if these forms are incomplete or if proper public notice has not been posted within the time noted.

To Apply for a Liquor License
(This general guide applies to new applications, temporary permits, transfers, alterations, or changes to a liquor license. For Liquor License renewal guideline, please scroll further down.)
1. 30-Day Notice
Submit a 30 Day Standardized Notice to the Community Board office at 1 Centre Street, New York NY 10007, Room 2202 or via email to [email protected].
Our office will confirm receipt of your submission and follow up with an email outlining instructions, deadlines and meeting details for your application.

2. The Liquor License Application Forms
The Liquor License Application Guidelines & Forms packet provides guidelines for submitting requested information from the committee to address your application. What is included:

Renew a Liquor License
To renew your liquor license, please submit a renewal 30 Day Standardized Notice to [email protected].
After reviewed by the Community Board, our office will notify the State Liquor Authority.
Please Note
NYSLA Posting Requirements: Regardless Of CB Support/Opposition, CB 1 will report non-compliance of these requirements to the SLA if establishments are found to have applied for a license or received a hearing date without duly posting notice.
The applicant will then be asked to write a letter to the SLA and CB1 explaining that the applicant was not prepared in time and attesting that no application to the SLA will be made until an appearance before and review by the Committee and full Community Board.
For Residents Concerned about Noise from a Liquor Establishment
311 Complaint
We encourage the community to submit a 311 complaint, for any noise regarding a liquor establishment before contacting the Community Board.

SLA Complaint
Complaints about a licensed establishment are investigated by the Enforcement Bureau.
